In fhr debate hist right on the Native Lands Sctt.'enieut Bill, Te Ao disapprored of the report, holding that tho Natives were quite capable of taking the control of their lands, which was given to them by the amendments made. Wi Pere avowed his intention to talk all night if Iho amendments were accepted. He spoke for an hour and a half, finishing at twenty minutes to one. The report was then adopted. A committee wa3 appointed to confer with the Legislative Council on the Westland Education Bill. Appropriation Bills wore read a first and second time, after which the House adjourned. ___ ra _________ m _
