Parliamentary Gossip
(Wanganui Herald's Correspondent.) Wellington, Oct. 20. The House meets this afternoon instead of this evening, as usual, in order that members may be allowed the opportunity of attending Lady Vogel's first ball this session. There is not likely to be very much done, as many members will be absent at the cricket match which takes place to-day between members of the Legislature and a team from the Civil Service. Mr Hirst, member for Wallace, has just come in for a legacy of L 20,000 by the recent death of his father.
