Weleam from the Advocate that 00 Wednesday* evening last a committee meeting, of theBangitikei and Manawatu Poultry and Produce Society was held in Messrs Stevens and Gorton's office, Bulls. Present—Messrs Bobb, J. 6. Hogg, Begg, Dalziell, J. Stevens, Stevenson, and L. FitzGerald (hon. sec.) The following stewards were appointed: — For poultry, Messrs Stevenson and Hogg; for dogs, Messrs H. Abbott and Betemeyer; for produce, Messrs J. 801 l and Begg. The Staging Committee were appointed, consisting of Messrs 6. J. Scott, Steven* son, Begg, J. Bull, and T. Monro. It was arranged that luncheon should be provided for the judges. The Secretary stated that Mr Melndo* had promised to run a eoaeb to and from Marton on the day of the show, and also that Mr Botheram, district railway num. ager, had consented to convey the exhibits back to the station from which they were* sent free of charge. It was decided to advertise in fiv* papers published in the district, two insertions in each. This was the whole of the business, sad the committee adjourned. October 16, QVXBTIOHB. Mr Brace gave notice to asi, What provision Government intended making' for vaccination in outlying districts. Also that he would ask, If the overland mails from Masterton to Rapier bad been let without the formality of tenders being invited. Beplying to Mr Dewnie Stewart, tho Hon. Mr Richardson said £700 had accumulated as railway employe fines, and at the close of the session Government would decide upon the disposal of the sum. Beplying to Mr Te Ao, the Hon. Mr Biehardson said Government conld not see its way to fence the railway line from Palmerston to Foxton at present. impbbst sonvr. The House went into Committee of Supply. An Imprest Supply Bill for £200,000 was passed through all ita stages. . The East and West Coast ■{Middle Island) and Nelson Bailway Bill. was further considered in Committee. The Premier moved a new clause to the effect that the Bailway to connect the East and West Coast Bailway, wi& Nelson, should . not cost more than X million, which was agreed to. The House then rose.
