Cricket Meeting
The annual general meeting of the Manchester Cricket Club was held at Roc's Hotel on Saturday night last. MrK. FitsHerbwt was Toted to the chair. The minutes of the last general meeting: were read and adopted. ' The balance sheet for the last season showed a deficiency of £2, owing to several members sot having paid their subsceiption fee. It was proposed thai gentlemen becoming members of the Club should pay their subscription fee at th« beginning of the season. The following gentlemen were elected officers for the ensuing season : — President— H. L. Sherwill, Esq. Vice- Presidents —D. H. Macarthur, Esq., M.H.R., and W. Carthew, Esq. I Committeo — Messrs Jackson, R FitzHerbert, Nix, Webster, and Roe. Match Committee— Messrs Nix, Roe, and Jackson. Treasurer and Secretary— Mr Andrew Thompson. It was proposed to open the season on Saturday n«xt with a match — Married r Single. Gentlemen are requested to be on the ground at 2L30 sharp.
