The Awahuri Bridge

The Awahuri Bridge has gone at last. It has been in a very shaky condition for some time past, and yesterday morning the span at the far end dropped just after Mr Harris's dray passed over it on its way to Palmerston. Mr Snelson, as chairman of the Manawatu Road Board, has given instructions for temporary repairs to be effected pending an application to be made under the Roads and Bridges Construction Act. — Manawatu Times.
