Melboubne, October 1. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage Agency Company of New Zealand (Limited) reports the local grain market as follows : —Wheat, quiet, 3s lld per bushel ; malting barley, 4s to 5s 6d. The market is steady. New Zealand oats, feeding jorts, in good demand, 3s 4d to 3s 7d ; milling ditto, 3s 7d to 3s Bd, with hardening tendency; moderate inquiry for New Zealand oats under bond, 2s to 3s.
