The Outbreak of Cholera

Naples, Sept. 10.
The cholera epidemic continues to rage in this city with unabated vigour. A few cases have also occurred at Borne, and fears are entertained that the disease may increase notwithstanding the precautions which have been taken. London, Sept. 10. The ravages of the cholera in Naples are something terrible, and heart-rending scenes are being enacted daily. Those I seized with it in the streets are abandoned to their fate, and their bodies left unburicd, owing to a strange superstition exhibited by the terror-stricken inhabitants. Madrid, Sept. 10. Further cases of cholera have occurred in this country and the disease is reported to be spreading. Received September 13, 12.20 p.m. Naples, September 12. The cholera epidemic is now materially abating here. Hopes are entertained that its further spread has been stopped. Pabis, September 12. No. fresh cases of cholera have occurred for some days at Marseilles and'Toulon, and there . seems every reason to believe the epidemic has been stamped out. j
