Dr Moran, Roman Catholic Archbishop Designate of Sydney, arrived to-day and was accorded a great reception by large crowds who bad assembled to welcome him. Addresses were presented and special services held at the Cathedral. Albany, September 8. Arrived, this afternoon,, the P. 'and O. steamship Shannon, with the inward Suez mails, dated London, August Ist. Adelaide, Sept. 8. A serious outrage bas been committed in the Northern Territory by a tnbe of blacks, wbo attacked a party of copper miners, killing one and wounding two dangerously. Tbe Duke of Manchester, wbo is visiting the Northern Territory, was only twenty ' miles from tbe scene nf tbe outrage at the time. Tbis Day. Tbe police are pursuing tbe blacks in the Northern Territory who recently attacked a party of miners. The Duke of Manchester is still in the locality. Melbourne, This Day. More cases of small pox are reported from various places in the country.
