The catalogue at to-day's wool sale comprised 12,000 bales. A firm tone waa again experienced ; inferior qualities of scoured wool were slightly easier, and
medium and common cross-breds also were rather easier.
The Cologne Gazette announces that Dr Nachtigan, the German commissioner
who is now on the West African Coast, has formally annexed the town and district of Littlepopo on the Guinea coast, near Dahomey.

Woodville, This Day. The bodies of the two women, Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Seavey, who were drowned during Tuesday night, wore found yesterday four miles from where the mishap occurred. Mrs Seavey's body was still clinging to the raft. ' The farmers at length having guaranteed sufficient milk to start a dairy factory here, it has been decided to have an establishment erected for four hundred cows. The operations will be commenced in about five or six weeks time.
