HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE STAB
S IH> — Will you kindly allow me to make a few remarks on the report of the meeting of the Horticultural Society, which appeared in Saturday's issue of the Stae. I notice that the report says that the minutes of the last general meeting were read and confirmed, and the next thing we read is that a resolution passed at that last meeting is rescinded. Now, sir, according to my notion of things, such a proceeding is ultra licitum, and altogether contrary to all laws and customs obtaining at public meetings. Consequently all business done at last Friday's meeting is null and void, and as so much lost breath, and moreover the resolutions of the society stand as if such meeting had never been. Commending this letter to the notice of the chairman, and apologising for occupying so much of your valuable space. — I am, &c,
Bybon Webbeb.
