Public Meeting
A meeting of settlers interested m promoting the Bangitikei and Manawatu Poultry and Produce Assoenftioik; • was held at the offices of Messrs Hdlcombe and Sherwill on Saturday eTening. Thpre were scarcely a dosen persons present* who, however, manifested a warm winterest in the project, and lit was evideft^tb#y meant business, as the resqltof the jpceting further showed.
Mr Sherwill, one of the rice presidents of the Society, presided, and explained the Society's objects, and why the meeting had been called. He spoke in faror of the movement, and read a report rf the meeting held at Bulls when the* Societj was started, the substance of which has already appeared.- in our columns.
