The first part consisted of a ministrel performance by the Taonui Etheopians of the place, which considering only their second appearance only, was well gone through under the aide "Johnsonship" of Mr Coles The second part was givon chiefly by visitors from Feilding, who rendered some songs and solos, in good style, accompanied on the .organ ' by Mrs Hawkins. One of "Africs ebon sons" from Halcombe also took part and ] caused considerable merriment. The house was crowded, and this was one of the most successful entertainments ever ( held at Taonui.
