A meeting of tbe above committee -warn held at the school room last evening* Present — Messrs Nicholas (choirmin), Watts, Towler and Rutherford. ; The minutes of the previous' meeting were read and confirmee). ' f> - The master's usual monthly report was read, and showed— No. on the books : Boys, 133; girls, 143; totnl— 276. Attendance: Boys, 92; girls, 97; total -189. , ,:.-..!!■ The following correspondence was read —From the Education Board, stating that Mrs Redman's resignation had been accepted, and that ; the Inspector was instructed to fill the, vacancy ; also, a circular re appointment of Truant Inspector: from the Head Teacher requesting an alteration in the school hpnrs. . V , ."* " Besolved, That the request 6t ($9 Master be granted. * : • Proposed by Mr Butherford',' seconded by Mr Towler, That Mr Nicbolail be chairman for the remainder of the year, arid be authorised to sign cheouesi with the Secretary.— Carried. . y ; - .ii The secretary stated that the work auihorised at last meeting had b>m completed.
