«. REUTEfi's TELEGBAMS Received August 9, 1.10 a.m. Sydney, August 8. Hani an is the favorite in the odds on his approaching race with Beach. The latter, however,, has many friends. The Land Bill was read a third time in the Legislative Assembly last night by 65 to 30. lt has transpired that the Premier has sent the Agent-General in London a telegram intimating that the Government consider the proposal to introduce a Federation Enabling Bill in the Imperial Parliament premature until this colony has decided upon the course it will pursue in connection with the proposed federation. Hobart, August 8. Two of the prisoners charged with the ' robbery of the bank at Beaconsfield have been discharged, and four of the others have been admitted to bail.
