The Australian Cricketers
(EEUTEB'S TELEGBAMB.) London, July 31. The Australian cricketers will com.' mence a match to day at the Oval against eleven players of England. The following are the names of the latter : — - Bates, Bnggs, Eramett, Hall. G. G. Hoarn, Jesse Hide, Humphreys, Hunter, Peate, Read and Ulyett. Later. The Australians cricketers commenced a match to-day at Kensington o*al against the Players of England. Ihe Home team went in first but only succeeded in scoring 107, the principal contributors being— TTiyett, c, 22 ; and Humphreys, b, 18. The visitors then went in for their first innings, which closed for 151. The principal scorers were— McDonnell, stumped, 26; Murdoch, b, 19 ; Bonnor. run out, 68. Bonnor was in excellent form, and his play was , much applauded. The second innings of I the Home team then commenced, but only tive runs had been scored with ono wicket down, when play stopped for the day.
