TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAR.
Sir,— While the excitement, about the election is still od,-I would like to remind the Manawatu people about What they have already suffered from having an outsider to represent them, -and if tbey elect Fraser they will have an "outsider" in more ways than one. Besides, if be were elected- even his screw would be spent in Rangitikei ; not a sixpence would be left in the pockets, of Manawatu tradesmen. In Macarthur the electors will fini a staunch and true tnan, who lives in ttie district and who has no interests of any kind ont of it. I only hope that the electors will remember their sufferings and neglect in the past, and be guided to vote only for the local man and put him in at the head of the poll. — I am, &c, Pat Macoratii.
