Manawatu Election
( We are not resgotisibj 'for the opinion.-; of ' (our correspondents.) TO THE EDITOR OF THii STAR Sir, — Tiie present time is very precious to the electors of Feilding in who they ! choose for their representative in the House of Parliament, and as there are two prominent candidates in the field and ! only one can be elected, which is the one to be? Why, the one who. bas^gjoXtlic most slake in the place— tbe one who ' dwells in our midst — the one who we can call over the coals, if need be — the one who has promised to convene us together as soon as he can after the Parliament is over to gi ve an account of what he has done— the one who is decidedly clear/and intelligent in what he will do forjvis and ours. This is the man, against all others, who we ought to. vote for. .Now perhaps it may be asked [who I am ;' well,' [I am a man that never spoke three words to Mr Macarthur since I arrived in Feilding (nearly four years), but I have written and published many articles against bim. And yet I am now willing' to j not only give bim my support, but ask you to do so and to roll up and vote for Macarthur. — I am, &c, - Elector.
