• (PKB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, This Day. Te Aro. — The following gentlemen were nominated : — C. J. Johnston, P. H. Fraser, J. O'Shea, E. Shaw, and J. H. Shaw. The show of hands was declared to be in favor of Mr Johnston. A poll was demanded. Dr Newman was the only candidate proposed for Thorndon, and was declared duly elected. Auckland, This Day. Bay of Islands nomination — Hobbs 26. Gannon 3, McKcnzie 3. Foxton, This Day. The nomination of candidates for Foxton took place to-day: — J. G. Wilson, nominated by Irancis London and Patrick Neylon ; C. B. Izard, nominated by J. F. Rockstow and Joseph Trask ; J. R. Browne, nominated by Martin Walsh and John Guerin. The show of hands was in faror of Iznrd. A poll was demanded on behalf of Wilson. Hamilton, This Day. At the Waipa nomination the following were tho proposals : — Major Jackson and Edward Lake. The show of hands wan in faTor of the latter.
