A vote of confidence was passed unanimously. VV ELLINGTON, This D iy. Mr Brown, a candidate tor Foxton, received a vote of confidence at Karori on Saturday night. Mr Hutchison, a candidate for South Wellington, and Mr Shaw, for Te Aro, addressed meetings to-night and received votes of confidence. At the Supreme Court this morning the grind jury found true bills against Thos. J. Glew for perjury, and also against C. H. Monkton and Mrs Alice Lynch for making a false declaration uuder the Marriage Act. Auckland, This Day. Si.- George Grey has declined to stand for Egmont. He has sent a telegram to the effect that as he is not to be opposed as leader of the party for Auckland City East, he will not counteaanco an opponent to Major Atkinson.
