General Mclver who some time back jndeavoured ro organise in England an jxpedition to New Guinea, is now iH Melbourne, and offers to carry out the project on behalf of the Australian Governments. He had an interview on Saturday with Mr Service, biit tbe Premier declined to accept the general's proposals.
