Three native boys, oharged with horsestealing and. larceny, were sentenced to. six' months' imprisonment at the Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday. The charge of horsestealing was withdrawn. TVo of the boys -got three- months' fbr larceny. The other two. were ordered to get six lashes with ai birch rod. It is understood a large number of northern members will leave by the steamer to-morrow and those from south on Monday. Blsnhbim. This Day. Mr Dodson offers himself for election at Wairau, for which seat the names of Joseph Ward, John Henderson, A. P. Seymour, and John Tucker Robinson are freely mentioned. As candidates for the Picton seat, ex-member Eyes, W, P. Terry, and A. P. Seymour are likely tb come forward against Mr Connolly. Chbistchubch, This Day. J. A. Williams, of Hals well, announces his intention to contest the Avon seat with Leonard Harper.
