A Shocking Occurrence
A MAN AND HIS WIPE BURNT TO DEATH. (PKB UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Cubistcuubch, This Day. A terrible fire occurred at four o'clock at Leeston, destroying a two-roomed eoUage io South bridge, owned by Mr Holly * and a cottage occupied by Frank Smith and wife. As neither of them were to be found, the debris was examined by Constable Simpson, when the charred remains of Smith and his wife were found. On a further search being made -a tijiad body was found, but at present if is not known who it is. An inquest will be heid this afternoon.
