The Ormondvill Tragedy

On the question of guilt j or not guilty being asked, prisoner remained silent about a minute. The question was again put and the prisoner replied, " Guilty." Then there was a death-like silence, which was broken by the prisoner adding, " Guilty, but I was not in my right mind." This was taken as a plea of not guilty. The trial will last all day.
