Kiwitea Road Board

Mr Wright waited on the Board as representative of the meeting of the settlers of the Harbor Board Block recently held in Feilding, and explained to the Board what roads were proposed to be applied for in the Block. The general feeling of the Board was that nothing could be done beyond furthering tbe carrying out of a resolution already passed on tbe subject. Mr Saxon offered to go with the Engineer, Mr Bray, and see what was required to be done. This was agreed upon, aad Mr Wright thanked the Council and with irew. A resolution was then passed — That Messrs Saxon and Bray be requested to inspect and report on the matter at the next meeting. Proposed by Mr Bryce, and seconded by Mr Williamson, That Mr Hammond be allowed to expend £10, as requested, in giving him access to bis property, such money to be expended within the Waiiuna Ward. — Carried. The Chairman proposed, That the GoTernment be requested to lay off the read line through section 175. being to the eorner of sections 175 and 198 a continuation of Perry's and Mackay's line, 15 Acres being allowed for the same. Seconded by Warden Bryce aud carried. . An allowance of 10s per mouth was •greed to be made for tbe use of the offices. Accounts amounting to £440 19s ld were passed for payment. Tbe meeting then adjourned.
