SPORTING
Notes by " Pkocton." The Palmers ton Queen's Birthday Meeting has attracted very good entries for the Guineas. Flying Handicap, and Hurdles, and aw interesting day's sport : may be looked for. Armourer and Ahua will most likely meet and fight their I battle over again. Somnus, once a Victorisn Derby favorite, is also entered, and if in good form should pay for hi* winter oats. An entry of nine has been received for the Bulls Coursing (.'lub'i stakes, to be run off on the Ist May. A much greater number would. I am satisfied, have competed, but that the fees are so high. The | public of Bulls do not support the club in at all a liberal manner, and consei quently the entrance fees are depended upon for prize money — in other words the owners of dogs hare to find both money and sport. A capital day's coursing could be had about here if some one would take the matter in hand and work it up. There would be no difficulty in getting off an 8 dog stake, as I am sure a number of the farmers around would willingly assist by allowing a club the use of their grounds.
