BULLS COURSING CLUB.
A meeting of the abore club was held on Thursday evening last at the Clifton Hotel, Bulls. Tli ere was a good attend* ance of members, Dr Frood presiding. Messrs T. K. Taylor (Turakina) and Jos. Gomez (Bulls) were placed on the list of members. It was resolved, That an admission fee | to the ground of 2s (id for horsemen be charged, and that the secretary be empowered to employ a collector at 25 per cent, on the money accruing therefrom. Resolved, That the first dogs be put in the slips at 9 a.m. on Thursday nest, at the gate at the end of the lane of Mr J. G Wilson's property (opposite the plantation). The following nominations were then opened : — Mr Dalziell's f.d. Warcry Mr Hunt's blk.s. Li lla Mr Hunt's br.s. Leonora Mr Joseph Gomez's cr. and blk.d. Sfergt. HiUreth Mi T. R. Taylor's r. and w.d. Hotspur Mr Dalrymple's bl.d. Blue Boy Mr J. M. Broughton's fn.b. Pinfire Mr W. Fergusson's (n.s.) br.d. Lion Mr W. Fergusson's bl.d. Philistine The draw then took place, with the following result :— Red. White. Hotspur Sergt. Hildreth Blue Boy Leonora Pinfire Lion Li 11 a Warcry Philistine This was all the business and the meeting adjourned. — Advocate.
