The opposition which in being offered to the advance of the gold prospectors into the Tnhua country, by the proprietors of the soil, is not unnatural. It will be in the memory of our readers that we foretold possible obstructions would be raised by Maori Doctors and Pakeha Maoris, and we have a profound belief that the opinion then expressed is being justified by current events. One thing is certain — that the greater the opposition, the greater will be the determination of the Wanganui people to " get into the Tuhua."
