ACCIDENT TO MACHINERY. [pee united press association.] Wellington, This Day. A slight accident has occurred in connection with the loading of the ship Lnd3' Jocelvn with frozen meat for London. The machinery was stopped and it was thought as the compartments were air tight, the delay would cause no injury to the mutton already on board. However, this morning some of the 9,000 carcases were found to be getting soft, and the steamer Florida, which sails for London te-day, was hauled alongside to receive 2,000 iuto her chambers. After this a quantity has boen placed on board the Florida. A collection will be made of the remainder of the cargo, and if it is likely to be damaged will be transhipped to Gear Company's freezing hulk Jubilee.
