RE-TEB . TELEGRAMS. Received March 22. 1.5 a.m. Sydney. March 21. The western districts of this colony are suffering heavily from want of rain and considerable distress has already been expressed. Melbourne. March 21. The Victorian Navigation Board have received a reply from Dunedin to the effect that the inquiry held there into the circumstances attending the Wairarapa and Adelaide collision was merely preliminary, and should in ne wise interfere with the proposed official inquiry to be held here.
