The Central Railway Route

Information from Auckland is to the effect that Carkeek, one of the parties exploring a route for the main line to Auckland, reached Te Awainutu without being molested in any way by the .Natives who were most friendly. He in now on his way back again and says he anticipates to hare the route thoroughly explored b.'fore the Assembly meets.
