Waste of Ratepayers' Money
TO THE EDITOB OF THE STAB. Sib,— l notice in the Wanganui Chronicle an advertisement from the Kiwitea Road Board for tenders for road forming in four contracts of 80 chains each on Perry's and Mcßeth's line. Surely to goodness there are enough contractors in the Manawatu and Oroua districts to get this bit of work done without going to Wanganui about it. The Board might almost as well advertise at Hong Konfc, which would be very little more wasteful of its funds I think it is quite sufficient for every purpose to call for tenders for such work* in the papers published in the district. — I am, tie..
