[ Sir Stafford Northcote has given notice in the House of Commons that it is his j intention to move on Tuesday next, i hat , | the recent disasters to the Egyptian army in the Soudan are the results of the wavering policy of Government in connection with Egypt. The Marquis of Salisbury, in the House of Lords, has i given notice of a similar motion to Sir S. ] Northcote' s, and the discussion has also been fixed for Tuesday. It has transpired that the Mediter- 1 ranean Squadron, under Admiral Lord John Hay, has been ordered to proceed , without de ay to Souakim. A force of 1200 marines will embark at Portsmouth this week for the same destination. The Daily > ews has published a telegram announcing that Gordon Pasha has been captured and made a prisoner by the tribes near Korosko who is now in , revolt. The Government have absolutely refused to restore L'etewayo. The transport department at the Admiralty is busily engaged in preparing for possible requirements for the conveyance of troops.
