School Committees

At the annual meeting of the Makino householders the following gentlemen were elected as a school* canjunittee for the ensuing twelve months :— Messrs Pearson, Fry, Apel, Llewellyn, Newall, Stubbington, and Bosherc — Mr Pry was appointed chairman of committee, and Mr Llewellyn secretary. Abeaconsfield; The election of the Beaconsfield school committee took place last Monday evening. The - following gentlemen wero elected :— Messrs Cunningham, Wallace, Da vies, Korte, Paul, Bismarck, and Bulst. Mr J! Wallace was' elected chairman and secretary. ; It appears that the committee are sadly in want of funds to fence ba the ground around the school and erect a gate. •''" Bim»TTHpKra: : .." f r ';--:;-^ The settlers of this district mustered in the schoolhouse in fair- force on Monday last notwithstanding the 'wretched state of the weather. Tfo following gentlemen were elected as a school committee for the "ensuing year:"— 'Messrs W. L. Bailey, W. Bailey, E. Sexton, J. Park, J. Brady, and J.,- Heard:' At a meeting of the committee held afterwards, Mr W. L. Bailey was elected, chairman and treasurer, and Mr E. Sexton secretary. The whole of the proceedings' wero marked by the greatest cordiality and unanimity. A* ; •'*
