Orient. Scrutineer. Steward's Handicap. —Salvage, 'Sir George, Vanguard, Minerva, Norraanby Administrator:' Mischief was scratched for the Wellington Cup at 9 : 5 last evening. The weather i* now very fine, and. there" is a promise of a very successful meeting. The following are the latest quotations for the Gup:— Vanguard 2 to 1, Leonatta and Welcome Jack 4 to 1, Salvage 6 to 1, Normauby and Poet 100 to 7, others scarcely mentioned. Those in from the ' course last night reported it to be in good condition.
