Watson has been sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment for indecent exposure to three young ladies who went diiving through Carterton This is the second conviction for a similar offence, and Watson has been a nuisance to the town for some time. He was also charged with assaulting a lady who was riding home in the evening, but the evidence was not conclusive, though he was seen near the place after the assault was committed. John Herbet Manson, aged eleven, son of Mr Manson, hairdresser, was drowned at Shelly Beach yesterday. He bad gene into the water to save a hat belonging 10 another boy.
