K. and S E. at all ulaces north of Napier and New Plymouth, and between :VW. and S.W. at all other places. Barometer: Fall at all places north of Nader und Few Plymouth soon, further fall at all other places. Sea heavy on western coast and between East Cape and Russell and between Castlepoint and Kaikoura Warnings for gales as above indicated have been sent to all stations. — B. A Edwin.
Messrs Halcombe and Sherwill's horse sale this afternoon was fairly attended The bidding was not so brisk as at former sales, and the prices were moderate.
