FRENCH WAR VOTE Received December 20. 1.10 a.m. Rome, December 18. The interview between Pnnce FieJerick William, of Germany, and His Holiness the Pope Leo XIII, at the Vatican today, lasted an hour. Tbe interview wi> of a very cordial nature. The organs of the Catholic party refer to the meeting in jubilant terms. His Imperial Highness leaves Rome on Thursday next. Pabis, Dec. 18. In the Chamber of Deputies to-day the additional war credit of 20,000,000 francs for defraying the cost of the Tonquin expedition was passed for by a large majority. Lisbon, December 18. A serious fire occurred at the Royal Dock yard to-day, and resulted in the destruction of one man-of-war lying in the dock A large amount of material was also consumed.
