Special to "Star." ADELAIDE WHEAT HARVEST. SEVERE SHOCK OF EARTHQUAKE. (eeuteb's TELEOBAMB.) Beceived Dec. 18, 1.30 p.m. Adelaide, December 18. Experts in agricultural produce who have visited the wheat-growing districts of this colony estimate the average yield for this season at 12 bushels per acre, and prospects of a large harvest daily becoming brighter. Hobaet, This Day. The Railway Bill has passed through both Houses of Legislature. [PEE UNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Cheistchuh eh, This Day. E. J. Lee, M H.R. for Selwyn, who has been ill for seme time, died this morning. Dunedin, This Day. A smart shock of earthquake was felt at Queenstown. It lasted 2\ minutes. Direction — north to south. Balclutha, This Day. A pretty severe shock of earthquake was felt here at 12.45 p m. Invehcaegill, This Day. A very severe shock of earthquake occurred at 12.45 p.m. It lasted for two minutes, direction apparently east to west, and vibrations were experienced at two distinct intervals. Articles in the shops were swayed about in an alarming manner, but so far as is known no damage was done, ihe weather is overcast and threatening rain.
