It is reported that Cetewayo is to be reinstated at Ulundi, with a Brtish resident there, some British troops remaining in Zuiukn'd until quiet is assumed. Stjwey, This Day. A telegram was read at the convention yesterday, announcing that France lays claim to the following islands or groups in the Pacific: New Caledonia, Loyalties, Pines, Marquess (eleven islands), Societies, Tahaiti, Moore i, Low Archipeligo (eighty islands), Anstrals and Tubuai, Koito and Rapa France is willing that the Leeward Islands, near Tahiti should be independent.
