Local Industries
Awaburi will soon be noted for its local industries. Tbe hop gardens and kilns, especially those of Messrs Boness and Ward, are already well-known. Mr Wilcock, who had two excellent samples of Dotted honey at the show yesterday, i s going rather extensivly and elaborately into apiculture on the frame hive and sectional box principle, while Mr Knight intends embarking in the silk worm business. He has already a large patch of land planted with mulberry trees, and intends next year to plant a good many being fully convinced that the industry can be made a lucrative one. The establishment of a dairy factory ia the same district ia not at all among the most unlikely things to happen.
