Mayoral Elections

WELLINGTON AND WANGANUI Mr George Fisher was yesterday reelected Mayor of Wellington, beating Mr W. Hutchison by a tremendous majority. M r Fisher polled 924, and Mr Hutchison 365. Mr Gilbert Carson was re-elected Mayor of Wanganui yesterday, beating Mr George H,utchison by 12 votes. The votes polled were— Carson, 211 j Hutchison, 199. Mr Fisher and Mr Cawon have now been elected Mayors of Wellington and Wanganui respectively for three years in succession, which proves the high estimation in which both gentlemen are held by their constituencies.
