Manchester Rifles
There was a meeting of the Council of the Manchester Rifles held at the Stak Office on Saturday night. Present— Capt. Lethbridge, Lieuts Booth and Blackmore, Sergeant Evans, Color-Sergeant JN'icholai, Corporal Rowley. Volunteers Wright and Kirton. It was decided to devote the Government prize money of £5 7s 6d iuto six prizes, to be competed for by all members of the corps who were efficient volunteers. Ist prize £2, 2nd 255, 3rd 208. 4th 15s, sth 10s, 6lh 7s 6d. To be fired for at 200, 500 and 600 yards ranges, eeven shots at each range, any position. This wai all the business.
