Tl»e front part of the building was, pletfly gutted. A small quantity of the Btock was saved. iNo explanation as to the origin nan be given, but it must have been caused by a spark from the stove. The property is insured for £1,200, insurances being : London & Lancashire, £240 on building. On plant and machinery£4Bo in the Equitable, amd the same in the Australian Mutual. MrHatten says the building was orer insured, bat the stock and plant was worth nearly £3000. He expect* the firm to hearilj.
