-' ♦» On Saturday lnst a meeting was held at the Endymion Hotel, Awahuri, for the purpose of forming a cricket club. About 20 members joined in the room. It was resolved that the annual subscription be IO«. Mr Thomas Fraser very kindly consented to give the use of a paddock for piny and practice. Mr Lloyd wag elected president and Mr Adam McDon?sld secretary aud treasurer. After set tlinj* several matters of detail, Mr Lloyd was authorisfd to purchase all necessary material. A vote of thanks to the chairman terminated the proceedings, and the meeting adjourned to Saturday next.
