Boxing Day Sports.

We desire to remind our "readers and the public generally tbnt a n>peting will be beld this evening, in the Town Hall, to take the necessary steps towards carryiug out the usual BoxiogDay Sports. A targe attendance is desirable, in order that a strong and influential committee may be elected. As the competition of other townships on the const is becoming more active than it has been eu previous rears, it will be necessary for our local committee to leave nothing undone to keep up the prestige of the Feilding Sports. But to enable the committee to do this it is first absolutely necessary for active and generous support to be accorded by the public We hare no fears on this score, however, and believe that bstter can he done on tho coming daj than has yet been attempted.
