He also ran a good third for the Wanganui Grand National Steeplechase, carrying 12st. 71bs., giving the winner, Ruahine, Ist. slbs., and the second horse, Dhudei.*n, 2st. olbs., thereby showing that he is a weightcarrier, and has exceptionally good st yina power. Diomedes was also awarded first prize at the Wanganui A. and P. Association Show as a i>ire best calculated tv improve the breed of saddle horses.
