Feilding State School.

_» A special meeting of the Committee was held in the School honse last evening for the purpose chiefly of considering a draft letter to the Education Board in application for a grant for .a new school building. Messra Thompson (chairman) Foster (secretary) Bray, Towler, Watts, and Worsfold were present. A letter was. read from the Board stating tbat Mr Marshall wonld not be appointed as assistant teacher, and that the Board was still advertising for one. Also a circular from the Tnrakina Valley Scbool Committee. A draft letter to the Board applying for a grant for a now school was, with a few alterations, adopted. It was resolved that the services of a trained female teacher for the school, as suggested by the Board, be accepted. It was also resolved that Mesdames Fry and Jones be asked to kindly inspect the needlework at the forthcoming examination. This closed the business.
