Land.

The results following the land sale held here on Saturday last, prove that the value of property in this district is | steadily increasing, while a proportionate i demand appears from the number of ap- | plicants there are to purchase. Some of the land which was sold at £15 per acre at the sale, has since changed bauds at £20. Several of the suburban sections of one acre each, have been sold at upwards of 20 per cent, on the purchase price. In nearly every case the land has been bcught by persons who intend to build at once. The population of the Makino is steadily on (he increase and general prosperity is the rule in that charming suburb.
