The Canterbury Frozen Meat Company sent by the British King 1825 carcaxesof mutton on account of 12 owners. Since April they sent 30.709 sheep, weighing 2,052,984 pounds, and 52 quarters beef, weighing 10,227 ponnds. Operations at the Belfast works are now suspended, to allow the erection of new machinery.
