A Question.
TO THB "EDITOB OV THB STAB. Sib,— Have you any idea when the the newly appointed Borough Rangor and Deputy Dog Tax Collector will commence the duties of his pleasurable (?) oifice? Many liks mysel f are enquiring the same thing, and think the sooner ho does so the better, so as to rid our streets of the intolerable nuisance of cattle and horses roaming about them in all directions, and to prevent our peaceful slumbers being disturbed by the nocturnal yelling of a crowd of half-fed and unregistered curs. Either let the Deputy ' Rejristrp.r whip round and get the fee, an.l pockat his 2s a head for them, or let us have these mongrels shot out of the way. — I am, &c, N-BtraffADNEzza.-:. [Our correspondent will be glad -to know that the Dog Tax Collector is now ifc on duty, and we would strongly advise • " Neb" to get a collar on his own dog at an early dale to save trouble.— Ed. F.
